FREE Wedding Open Day

We’re throwing open our doors and showcasing our beautiful spaces for weddings on 11 and 12 February between midday and 4.00pm. There are great prizes to be won and sensational giveaways for everyone who attends. Alastair will be there offering samples of canapes to go with the wines to taste, and we have some stunning decor and theming options on display, plus some sensational ideas for a beautiful riverside wedding at Bretts Wharf. Produce Dinner 7 & 8 February

The next in our series of dinners featuring Queensland Produce will be held on Tuesday 7 and 8 February. Chef Alastair McLeod will be personally hosting both evenings dubbed “Best of the Best”, and has selected what he thinks is some of the very best and most unique produce of Queensland for the menu. Some of our inspiring growers – the real heroes behind Queensland’s sensational produce – will also be attending.

We are very pleased to advise that Brisbane City Council have confirmed that Bretts Wharf is able to remain open at least until January 2015. We had thought we were going to have to close due to land resumption, however this is no longer the case.

A fantastic a la carte menu, roving entertainment to keep everyone happy and a face painter for little ones. And of course our views! Melbourne Cup Day is sure to be a cracker this year! There will be live entertainment all day and you’ll find me shucking oysters at the oyster bar where the Mumm’s champagne will start off a great day of fun and excitement. Here is the fantastic 4 course menu….

Melbourne Cup Day at Bretts Wharf is always a great day with our fantastic location, fabulous food, live entertainment, sweeps and prizes.

Paella Recipe

Francis Domenech (one of our owners) comes from the Catalonia region (bordering France and Spain). Using his family recipe which has been handed down through generations, we have a magnificent paella on the menu at the moment. It’s a fantastic dish to share, or you can try making it at home. We are open for lunch and dinner every day. It is business as usual for us right up until our last day, Australia Day 2012 when sadly we are closing due to land resumption. Until then, you can expect fantastic food, service, ambience and that beautiful view of the river and city. We look forward to welcoming you.
